ZKTeco AMC and Maintenance in the UAE

An annual maintenance contract (AMC) keeps your ZKTeco attendance machines, access control, locks and turnstiles working as they did on installation day. Attendance and access systems are easy to forget until they fail. A dirty fingerprint sensor, a weak lock power supply or a full database can stop staff getting in. It can also break the payroll report at month end. Regular checks catch these problems early, when they are easier to fix. An access control maintenance contract also gives your team one place to call when a door will not open.

Every AMC is agreed in writing, so you know what is covered before you sign. We look at your devices, doors and software, then propose a scope that suits the site. Attendance machine maintenance for a small office is simpler than a multi-building access control system, and the contract should reflect that. The terms, visit schedule and price are set out in each proposal.

What an AMC can include

Preventive maintenance visits

Scheduled visits to inspect every device, door and turnstile on the contract. We check mounting, cabling, displays and buttons, and look for wear before it turns into a fault. After each visit we tell you what was checked and anything that needs attention.

Firmware and software updates

Where an update is suitable for your devices, we apply firmware updates and updates to BioTime or ZKBio CVSecurity. We then check that devices still connect and records still arrive, so an update does not create a new problem.

Database backup

Attendance records and user data are valuable. We back up the software database during visits and check that your own backup routine is running. A failed computer or server should not mean losing months of records.

Cleaning sensors and cameras

Fingerprint sensors, face recognition cameras and card readers collect dust and grease, especially at busy or outdoor entrances. We clean them and check recognition, which often fixes slow or failed reads without replacing anything.

Locks and power supplies

We test magnetic locks, electric strikes, exit buttons and door sensors, and check power supplies and backup batteries. We also confirm that doors release correctly on a fire alarm signal where they are connected to one.

Priority support and spares

AMC customers get priority when they call with a fault. Spare parts and replacement devices can be included in the contract or quoted separately, depending on what you agree with us at the start.

What to agree in an AMC

Visit frequency
How many preventive visits per year, and whether busy or outdoor sites need more. Agree when visits happen so they do not disrupt shifts.
Response time
How quickly a technician responds to a fault by phone and on site. Agree whether urgent faults, such as a main door that will not open, are handled faster.
Parts and replacements
Whether spare parts, locks, power supplies and replacement devices are included, discounted or charged separately.
Devices and sites covered
A list of every device, door, turnstile and software installation on the contract, with locations. Agree how new devices are added.
Software support
Whether software support, updates, database backups and help with user administration are included.
Contract period and renewal
The start date, length and renewal terms, and how the AMC works alongside the manufacturer's warranty on newer devices.

How an AMC works

  1. Send us a list of your ZKTeco devices, doors and software, or ask us to survey the site.
  2. We inspect the system and note any existing faults before the contract starts.
  3. We send a proposal with the scope, visit schedule, response terms and price.
  4. Once agreed, we carry out preventive visits on schedule and keep a record of each one.
  5. Between visits, you call or WhatsApp us for support, and faults are handled under the contract terms.

What is included in a ZKTeco AMC?

How much does an access control maintenance contract cost in the UAE?
It depends on the number of devices and doors, the number of sites, how often you want visits, and whether parts are included. We do not publish fixed AMC prices. Send us your device list or ask for a survey and we will send a proposal.

Do you offer an AMC for a system you did not install?
Ask us. We would first need to inspect the devices, wiring and software and note any existing faults. Once we know the condition of the system, we can tell you whether we can offer a contract and what it would cover.

How often should an attendance machine be serviced?
It depends on how busy and dusty the location is. A device in a quiet office needs less attention than a terminal at a factory gate or an outdoor entrance. We suggest a visit frequency in the AMC proposal after seeing your site.

Does an AMC replace the manufacturer's warranty?
No. The manufacturer's warranty covers manufacturing defects for the period stated on your invoice. An AMC covers preventive maintenance and support, and can also cover parts and labour that the warranty does not, depending on what you agree.

Do you provide ZKTeco maintenance outside Dubai?
Yes. We offer maintenance contracts across the seven emirates from our office in Deira, Dubai. Give us the site locations when you ask for a proposal, because distance can affect the visit schedule.
