Uganda is landlocked, so planning freight matters as much as choosing models. Sea cargo travels through Mombasa or Dar es Salaam and on by road, while air cargo lands at Entebbe. We prepare clear shipping documents so your clearing agent has what customs will ask for. Buyers looking for ZKTeco in Uganda get the same genuine stock we sell in the UAE.

Time attendance in Uganda often spans a Kampala head office and upcountry sites. A biometric attendance machine in Uganda should store records offline and upload them over 4G or Wi-Fi when possible. For access control in Kampala offices, banks and warehouses, we suggest readers and controllers to match your doors. We are a reseller in Dubai, not a ZKTeco distributor in Uganda.

What we supply in Uganda

Typical projects and the ZKTeco products that suit them.

Factories and industrial parks

Plants in Namanve, Jinja and along the Kampala to Jinja road run shift work. Face recognition terminals, tripod turnstiles and barrier gates control staff and vehicles, and BioTime handles overtime reports.

NGOs, schools and health facilities

Organisations with a Kampala office and field locations upcountry can track staff in one BioTime Cloud account. Schools and hospitals add door readers for stores, pharmacies, labs and records rooms.

Agriculture and agro-processing

Coffee, tea and sugar operations employ many seasonal workers across large estates. Portable attendance devices with batteries record work in the field, and face recognition avoids problems with rough or dirty fingers.

Oil and infrastructure projects

Projects in western Uganda and along new road and pipeline routes need attendance at camps and gates. Rugged 4G terminals and turnstiles suit sites that are far from fixed networks.

Practical notes for Uganda projects

Power
Uganda uses 240 V at 50 Hz with Type G sockets. ZKTeco power adapters are normally rated for 100–240 V input, but the plug may differ. Add surge protection and a UPS where supply is unstable.
Import paperwork
Many products need a Certificate of Conformity under the UNBS pre-export verification (PVoC) programme. Wireless models may need type approval from the Uganda Communications Commission. Check with your clearing agent before shipping.
Data protection
The Data Protection and Privacy Act 2019 covers biometric data. Get employee consent and explain the purpose. Check whether you must register with the Personal Data Protection Office.
Connectivity
Upcountry sites can use 4G models or export records by USB drive. Devices store punches offline, so records are kept if the link drops.
Language
English is the official language and is used on most ZKTeco menus and in BioTime. Simple on-screen icons and voice prompts help staff who read other languages.

Frequently asked questions

Can I buy ZKTeco devices from Dubai for Uganda?
Yes. We export genuine ZKTeco products from Dubai to Uganda. We confirm stock, send a written quotation, and ship by air or sea or hand the goods to your forwarder. Your clearing agent handles import and UNBS requirements.

How do I get a ZKTeco price for Uganda?

Do we need employee consent for biometric attendance in Uganda?
In most cases you should get it. Fingerprints and face images are personal data under the Data Protection and Privacy Act 2019. Explain the purpose, keep records secure, and check registration with the Personal Data Protection Office. Take local legal advice if unsure.

Do you install in Uganda?
We supply Uganda from Dubai and do not install on site there. Your local installer or IT team fits the devices. We advise them on wiring, network settings and software set-up by phone and WhatsApp. Uganda is one hour behind Dubai.
